Ironside Martial Arts is committed to providing a safe, clean, supportive and inclusive environment for all of our students and guests. Disparaging comments or behavior will not be tolerated.
If you are late – no problem! This is your class, and we are happy you’re here.
If you need to use the washroom, get a drink of water, or leave the mats during class for any other reason, feel free to do so but inform your instructor so that we know where you are and that you’re okay!
All metal jewelry should be removed for training.
Please maintain personal hygiene – keep fingernails short and gear/uniforms clean.
Pay close attention when your instructor is explaining a technique or drill. Details matter for both safety and progress!
Use the provided changerooms and washroom. If supplies are needed or there is a mess that needs cleaning up, please let us know.
When working with training partners to drill or spar, differences in size/strength/experience should ALWAYS be taken into consideration. This is important for safety, but also for your own personal development as a martial artist. Both partners need to be comfortable with the techniques being practiced and the level of intensity at all times. Check in often, communicate openly and respect your partner’s response.
No running or physical play in the front lobby or hallway. That’s what the mats are for!
Ironside is a small family-owned business. Please be respectful of our administrative processes and provide 30 days written notice for any membership modifications.
